Casino Night/Dessert Buffet… Anyone Hungry?

My husband, my best friend Susan and I created a dessert buffet for our friend’s party. There were 75 guests and the theme was casino night. They rented roulette, blackjack, craps and poker tables with dealers.

I baked everything the day prior. On Saturday morning Susan came over and the assembly line took off! We made ourselves margaritas and ordered take out food from Rubios.  At one point it reminded me of  the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy and Ethel are working at the conveyor belt in the candy factory!  We had a blast!

At the party, our friends had the coolest idea for the food… They had a food truck pull right into their backyard!

The desserts included mini cupcakes (lemon, strawberry and chocolate) cake pops (red velvet and funfetti), mini banana pudding cups, fruit cups, mini strawberry shortcakes, mini layered brownie truffles, flavored popcorn and sugar cookie bars.

Vintage Window with Antique Wedding Book

I bought this window for $15.00 from a window company which had just replaced the original windows in a house built in the 1950′s, in northwest Phoenix.

I bought an antique “wedding book” from Goodwill (just like a baby book but to document a wedding, not a baby). I took some of the pages out and attached them to the window. The wedding book had information in it regarding the couple who originally used it when they were wed in Michigan in March of 1919. That information is still visible on the back side of the window.

Bridal Shower – Vintage Garden Party

On March 21,2015 we threw a bridal shower for our fabulous niece. The theme was vintage garden party. I think it was a success!

This was a game where she had to put a gumball in her mouth every time she got a question about her fiancĂ© wrong…

Some of the wonderful gifts she got:
